One of the largest manufacturers of construction equipment was expanding operations to Latin America and needed their sales training material translated into Spanish. This was to be done over several months as their training was extensive. They provided the initial documentation, indicating that there would be more documents containing a summary section of each prior training. Once we reviewed the document provided, we noticed that there were several repetitions within the material. Upon doing an analysis with a tool intended for this purpose, we were able to suggest the usage of the tool for the translation in order to create a TM and use it for the subsequent training documents. By doing this, the construction company has been extremely satisfied, mainly because their documents are consistent, and because they have been able to save over 25% on costs by agreeing to the usage of the tool. In addition, they now have what they call their “training glossary”, which they have created based on the TM that we provided.
